The ‘StreamScapes Ilen’ project has been nominated by ‘The Southern Star’ for the 2014 ‘Get-Involved’ competition

‘Get Involved’ is a sustainable community initiative developed by 51 local newspapers through their representative associations – NNI Local & the RNPAI.  The 2014 ‘Get Involved’ initiative is aimed at community projects and the ‘StreamScapes Ilen’ project has been nominated under Categories “3: Nature/Biodiversity” (Projects that, enhance, restore and protect nature and ecosystems) and “5: Water” (Water sustainability and awareness of how critical this invaluable resource is to localities).  The competition will be judged by the chairman of the judging panel, broadcaster and environmentalist, Duncan Stewart, along with panel members Anja Murray, independent ecologist, and Davie Philip, Cultivate Community Resilience Programme.
