Resources
Our publications and booklets celebrate Ireland’s catchments and biodiversity.
Blue Dots
The Blue Dot waters initiative in Ireland aims to protect water bodies designated as having High Ecological Status under the EU Water Framework Directive. These waters are recognised as the country’s cleanest and are vital for supporting pollution-sensitive species.
Blue Dot Guidebooks
StreamScapes is proud to launch the new Blue Dot Guidebooks. Engaging, easy-to-use resources designed for schools, community groups, and Tidy Towns teams. These guidebooks explore Ireland’s most pristine freshwater habitats and offer practical, inspiring actions to protect local rivers, lakes, and wetlands. With a dedicated Tidy Towns guide, groups can easily integrate freshwater stewardship into local projects, boosting biodiversity, community engagement, and environmental impact.
Catchment Booklets
These publications are created in collaboration with local and regional communities around Ireland. StreamScapes is a creative and effective ‘first-contact’ resource for engaging communities in local water quality and biodiversity issues.
