Today we are pleased to announce the commencement of the 2015 ‘Farming & Biodiversity’ Competition for 2nd-Level Agricultural Science Students (sorry…Republic of Ireland only).
This year’s theme is ‘Farming & Water Quality’ and features great prizes for winners (5 x Samsung Galaxy Tablets). This Twitter-based competition is supported by EPA Catchments (@EPACatchments) and produced by the Irish Agricultural Science Teachers’ Association (@AgScience) and StreamScapes (@StreamScapes).

Tweet a photo & caption on ‘best practice’ water protection on the Farm to be in with a chance to win!
Rules & Guidelines:
- Take a photo of ‘best practice’ in water protection on the Farm; this could be an image of farmyard water management, use of rainwater harvest, provision of ‘buffer zones’ along water courses, etc.
- Tweet your photo, with a caption, to @StreamScapes AND YOU MUST ALSO MENTION @EPACatchments in your Twitter to qualify for the competition!
- Entries will be judged 60% on photo quality and 40% on caption!
- Deadline for entries Friday 6 November 2015
- To be a prize-winner, you must be able to attend the Award Ceremony during National Science Week (8-15 November)
- Winners will be messaged and requested to provide their Name, School, Teacher Name, and Contact details (phone and email)
- Decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
